A few years ago I was in a deranged relationship.
I particularly can’t suppose that it lasted so long, but it is a testament to how far I have come in hindsight; Looking back, now it’s clear that I was constantly with an emotional abuser who did everything she could to control me.
Whenever she was upset with me, my ex-bestie had a million tactics to try to get back at me. Sometimes she would call my family plus tell them evident lies to make me look like an deranged person… Other times, she would try to control me through physical torture plus mental anguish. Her favorite way to impart this identifiable punishment was utilizing the heating plus cooling system to drive me to the brink of insanity. You see, when my friend and I moved in together she promptly installed a smart thermostat in the house. At first, I thought this was going to be a fantastic way for us to reduce our utility bills plus consistently inspected the central heating plus cooling system. In reality, it was just a way for him to monitor plus control me through the thermostat. My ex instantly put child locks on the smart thermostat plus began to use the air quality control device to make me miserable when she wasn’t in the house. If my friend and I had a fight, you can guarantee that she would turn down the central cooling system to about 50 degrees before leaving for the weekend. I couldn’t change the thermostat settings plus I had nowhere to go, so I would get stuck in the ice frigid apartment with all of the windows open. Then, she would tell me it was my fault for our high utility bills that month plus all the additional maintenance services my friend and I needed from the Heating plus Air Conditioning maintenance dealer, and no matter what I did to escape her heating plus cooling torture, there was constantly a reason why everything was my fault. Never again.
