Recently, I have gotten into something that I’m a bit embarrassed about.
Never in my life have I bought into horoscopes or astrology… Until now. In the past couple of months, everything has changed. Every single time I’ve read a horoscope, it has been dead on. This portion of my life has been very chaotic, and I’ve enjoyed the security of reading about my sign each day. One of the things that my horoscope is very accurate about is my tendency to be anxious and over-reactive. It was warning me about this the other day, just as my air conditioning system broke down. I was in the kitchen, sipping a cup of coffee and happily scrolling through my horoscope when I heard a loud and disruptive sound from outside near the air conditioning condenser. I ran outside and found the condenser was not operating. There was steam coming out from the side, and it looks like the cooling system had imploded. My immediate response was to freak out and start crying, shut down and crawl back into bed. However, I thought of my horoscope and decided to approach this broken cooling system with more patience and optimism than usual. I calmly got out my phone and started doing some research online, looking for the best heating and cooling company in the area. I did some reading and found some awesome discounts from a local cooling specialist. I calmly gave the ventilation company a call, and they promptly informed me that I was the one thousandth customer. You wouldn’t believe this, but my prize was a free cooling system renovation! When my horoscope told me to stay calm and believe that things would work out, I never could have believed it was talking about my brand new AC system!
