There are things that stress me out on necessarily, and confronting them entirely is not a necessary part of my therapy plan. It’s okay to simply stay away from the things that keep you awake at night. For instance, I have relinquished control over our nation’s politics. It’s not worth being tied up out and up in arms about the activities of rich colorless men who I cannot influence. I hadrather just ignore CNN and worry about the things I can control in my life. Similarly, I have realized that there’s no sense in stressing out about necessary expenses, when I need to put gas in my car, I don’t search for the best prices anymore. Recently, when my boiler broke down, I knew that it was going to be an severely stressful expense. I had to call the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C professional in the middle of the night, so I knew there would be big emergency repair fees friendd with the Heating Repair, honestly, I didn’t even want to know how fancy it was going to be. The boiler had to be fixed, or else I wasn’t going to survive the winter. There was no point in worrying about how much the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C repair was going to impact my savings account. I figured, I could save myself some stress by avoiding the repair quote entirely. When I called the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C dealership to arrange my repair appointment, I provided them my debit card number over the phone. I told them to charge me whatever was necessary after the respected inspection, but please don’t tell me how much this boiler repair was going to cost. Sometimes, ignorance is bliss.
