This has been the best Christmas in my adult memory. For the past several years, my Christmases have been spent on the road, traveling between distant families out of obligation. We haven’t had much money for our own celebrations, and we had to jump lots of extra money into all of these travel arrangements. Things were definitely tights, and it barely felt like a holiday celebration at all. This last Christmas, on the other hand, we finally got to relax at home. we also got to enjoy my brand new Christmas gift! I couldn’t be happier about what Santa brought me this year. I’m a fairly practical person, so I’m extremely excited to receive things it’ll actually use. This year I unwrapped a huge box, and joyously found a mini split ductless heating and cooling system inside – still in the factory box! Some people might be disappointed by such a utilitarian gift… Maybe not everyone cares about air temperature control as much as I do. You see, I have my own little work shed that I’ve been setting up in the backyard. The only thing that’s been missing has been accurate air temperature control. So far, I’ve been stuck using a space heater and a small AC window units to moderate the air temperature throughout the seasons. As you can imagine, neither one of these cheap air temperature control devices is able to keep the space truly comfortable. For months I’ve been talking about investing in a mini split ductless heating and cooling system. My husband wisely knew that I would never treat myself to a comfortable indoor air, so he did it for me.
