I blame the heat for certain mistakes.
It is not my fault that my brain turns to mush when the weather becomes unbearable.
For example, I royally messed up this week at my task and I fully recognize it was because our Heating and Air Conditioning system stopped working. About half way through the day our office starting getting a bit warm. I mean it consistently seemed a bit tepid to me as I am pregnant and therefore producing twice as much blood as before, but regardless I noticed my co-worker was also starting to feel a bit hot as she took off her sweater. Now my friend and I work in a very small space with only one ventilation pointing toward us. Recently, we’d been having problems with the cooling system and it seemed that this week would be one of those days. So with the temperature only getting hotter I try to go on with my day. Unluckyly, and again I blame the heat, I messed up big time and accidentally sent out pressing information that wasn’t exactly procedure. I was terribly upset as I walked up to my boss. Right before I could get a word of she stopped me and thanked me for sending the pressing information out. Turns out our cooling system had broke and which caused her iPad system to overheat so she couldn’t send it out herself. I thanked her and turned around before she said anything else in fear I may accidentally mention the real reason I sent the information. I know the heat isn’t all awful and thankfully I still had a task.
