A couple of years ago my roommate decided to install this handy new Heating and Air Conditioning system, however he said it was the newest technology and would solve all of our problems! Back after that I were blowing money due to the lack of insulation in the old home my friend and I were renting; It got so awful my friend and I wouldn’t even turn on the original system, instead, my friend and I would just open the windows and doors in hopes a nice breeze would come in, so when my roommate brought home the new system I was grateful however conscious.
He had taken it upon himself to install the system and refused to call or even ask our neighbor who was Heating and Air Conditioning certified for help! After the first month with the new system, my friend and I had seen a tiny drop in the electric bill so my roommate took that as a nice sign.
He then made it to where the temperature control was almost consistently at 70 degrees, which was the lowest my friend and I had ever had any of our Heating and Air Conditioning systems… Well, when my friend and I got our next daily bill and the price had doubled I nearly fainted. I had our certified associate come take a look at it and it turned out that the new system would only save was only going to save us about a sixth of the amount my friend and I had been spending originally, so my roommate had been wrong. I asked our associate if there was anything he could do and he was able to repair the system so that the temperature never dropped below 70 degrees regardless of what the temperature control machine said. I have yet to tell my roommate although he repeatedly gloats about how he magically fixed the Heating and Air Conditioning system and our bills all by himself.
